EdlingreaT wrote:Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has announced that prized asset Franck Ribery will be placed on the transfer market if he fails to sign a new contract with the Bavarian club.

According to the Muencher Abendzeitung, the former German international made these statements during a meeting with the Seeoner Seedeife'n fan club.

"If Ribery doesn't renew his deal in the spring, it would be fiscally irresponsible to keep him, as he's out of contract in 2011," he said.

"We'd just be giving away €50-60 million in that case."

Ribery is currently on the comeback trail after almost three months out with injury, and should return to action against Hertha Berlin this weekend.

Clubs ranging from Chelsea to Real Madrid have been linked with the French international of late.

What a t*t is this guy Uli Hoeness? For a player who is in the second last year of his contract, which club in its right mind would pay 50-60 mp for him, when it can get him for free when his contract expires :?:

Anyways, I don't want yet another indubitably talented yet high on ego player. Let's get Stoch back from McLaren and give him first team action. Merci, mais non merci Munchen! ;)

stoch is good, nothing better than giving youth a chance but, its a big risk, stoch has potential i give him another half season on loan after this season and i think he'll be ready

:^) Now where'd that come from?

The guy was injured when he signed with us and clearly hasn't fully recovered! The EPL is supposed to be the most difficult of leagues for a particular reason, with no disrespect to the Russian league.

As someone correctly mentioned, it's not a fish market and we aren't playing FIFA 10 either :P Let's give the Russian Ronaldinho a chance. The lad gave a splendid performance at Molineux and his flair on the ball is something which our team clearly lacks.

Dont think Ribery is worth the money. Tempermental, moody, football mercenary and injury prone.

I agree with faffo , I prefer paying that much money for ribery over giving it to cole.
I like joe cole as well , but his performances aren't improving , and with him wanting more money than he already earns , well something snapped inside me.

! NEWS !

Ribery has said that a transfer to Chelsea is not going to happen.
He now is talking with Bayern for a new contract and others ways he's leaving for spain, to play for Barça or Real...

That's good news if you ask me. He is overrated and hyped by the media. Will cost a fortune and we can use Kakuta, Cole if he stays and get Di Maria
